Bollinger says officers tried to make a traffic stop on one of the vehicles involved in the crash when the driver fled, crashing at an intersection with two other vehicles.

Police say that driver then fled the scene on foot before being arrested a short time later. Officials say that individual complained of injuries from the crash and was also taken to the hospital.

The crash completely shut down the intersection for several hours.
