Opera star Fleming takes stage in Toledo

The Toledo Symphony presents legendary opera star Renee Fleming in a one-night-only gala concert. On May 13, Fleming retired from the New York Metropolitan Opera role for which she was probably most famous, Marschallin in Richard Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier.

Fleming is moving forward to pursue a solo career and advocating for classical music around the globe, but speculation suggests she has not entirely concluded her operatic stage performance career.

Her appearance with the Toledo Symphony will feature the Four Last Songs of Richard Strauss as well as operatic favorites from her legendary repertory.
