Game review: Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks ****

Game review: Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks ****

Mortal Kombat has been a fave of mine since it reared its battered head in the early '90s. The concept of the fight to the death and the thrill of correctly executing a finishing move is a rush like no other.

Shaolin takes Kombat fans out of the 2-D head-to-head fight and into three dimensional, highly interactive battlefields and arenas. Special attention to these environments is key in some battles. The heart of the Kombat franchise remains intact in Shaolin with some fresh additions that fight fans will enjoy.
