University of Toledo junior Olanzo Jarrett, from Toronto, was selected in the fifth round of the CFL draft by Edmonton.

Jarrett, previously an outside linebacker but now a defensive end, last played for the Rockets in 1999. He did not play in 2000 for personal reasons and was on the team but did not see action last season.
