The Lucas County Holiday Light Show presents large lighted holiday displays synced to the radio.
Visitors take their cars through a mile-long route of music and lights. The route starts at 1406 Key St., Maumee.

Father Christmas will be in an igloo ready to hear children’s wishes before the holiday.

■ Snow Place Like Metroparks opened up this week and runs through Jan. 31 at Secor Metropark.
Visitors may drive through a display of more than 120 decorated snowmen. The “Snow People” came to life two years ago, in a socially distant attraction. Staff, volunteers, and community members contributed to decorating the wooden cutouts.
The event is free and reservations are not needed. The park opens at 7 a.m. until dark. Guests should enter from the park entrance at Bancroft Street. Go to metroparkstoledo.com/snowplace.
■ The cocktail bar at Toledo Spirits has rebranded to Sleigh Bellwether for the holiday season.
The annual pop-up features Christmas music, decorations, and holiday-inspired cocktails. Even the glassware and garnishes will be festive.

The Toledo-native motivational speaker has overcome several obstacles in his life and now uses his story to encourage others to be their best.
Attendees can browse art created through the mission’s Street Art Program, and enjoy cookies and hot cocoa. Terin Jennings will provide live music.
