Morsels: BG fund-raiser seeks to bowl over food insecurity

Artists vs. Hunger fund-raiser

Representatives from the Bowling Green State University Clay Club have created beautiful handmade bowls for the first annual Artists vs. Hunger: Empty Soup Bowl Fund-raiser that will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 13. Proceeds will benefit the Brown Bag Food Project, which helps to alleviate food insecurity in Wood County by providing individuals with one week’s worth of groceries, hygiene products, and pet food if needed, as well as information about resources for long-term support.

This event will be hosted at the Wood County Historical Center and Museum, 13660 County Home Rd., Bowling Green. Tickets cost $15 per person and include a one-of-a-kind bowl, a soup meal prepared and donated by area businesses and volunteers, and admission to the museum. Extra free will donations will be gratefully accepted.
