Special Events: Train to perform at Toledo Zoo Amphitheater on Sunday

Train performs at the Toledo Zoo and Aquarium on Sunday.

The concert is at the zoo’s amphitheater, 2700 Broadway, Toledo, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Train is a multi-Grammy and Billboard award-winning band from San Francisco. It has had 14 songs placed on Billboard’s Hot 100 and has sold more than 10 million albums globally and more than 30 million tracks with multiple platinum and gold record certifications.

Along for the Pride: Annual LGBTQ community celebration adjusts format for pandemic, construction

■ The National Tractor Pulling Championships return to Bowling Green on Thursday.

The championships continue through Saturday, with events for a wide variety of vehicles. The National Tractor Pulling Championships have been a tradition since 1967, and are hosted by the Northwestern Ohio Tractor Pullers Association, which is a private club consisting of 225 active members.

The event is held at the Wood County Fairgrounds,1380 W. Poe Rd., Bowling Green. Session tickets begin at $20, and are free for children 10 and younger. For more information, visit pulltown.com.

■ Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank hosts one of its largest fund-raisers on Sunday at the Highland Meadows Golf Club, 7455 Erie St., Sylvania. The Country BBQ Fundraiser includes a barbecue-themed lunch, silent auction with items from local businesses, line dancing, and live music.

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is sponsored by Buckeye Broadband and Comfort Line Fiber Framework.

Proceeds go toward meals for the community. General admission is $60, and is equivalent to donating 300 meals. Sponsorships are also available.

■ Toledoans are welcome to enjoy an array of herbal teas, plant-based tortes, and poetry at Tea + Tortes Poetry Open Mic.

The event takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday outside Boochy Mama’s, 130 10th St., Toledo 

Admission and parking are free. Tea and tortes will be available for purchase, and face masks are required for inside entry.
