Special Events: St. Patrick's Day events abound over the weekend

Vroom down to Toledo Harley Davidson (1176 Professional Dr.) for the Bangers & Mash St. Patty’s Day Bash on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. Wear your best green attire and come enjoy delicious bangers & mash (a dish of British origin that consists of sausage with a side of mashed potatoes) from Swig served from 12 p.m. until it’s gone. ● Sign up now for the Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl throughout downtown Toledo on Saturday. Running from 4 pm to midnight, you and your friend will visit seven downtown pubs with food and drink specials galore. ● Raise a glass of good cheer for St. Patrick’s Day at the Blarney, located at 601 Monroe St., beginning on Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Other dates for your carousing pleasure include Saturday from noon to midnight, Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the big celebration on Monday, starting at 6 a.m. and running through 10 p.m. Amenities include a heated tent, live music, and delicious Irish food. ● Lace up your skates at the Shamrock Skate Night at Ottawa Park (2200 Kenwood Blvd.) on Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Featuring fun music and a green glowing skating rink and free accessories (while supplies last). ● Celebrate Pi Day (3-14) on Friday at all the Earnest Brew Works locations where you can enjoy cold beer (or non-alcoholic drink) and delicious pie or pizza from Vito’s to support Mobile Meals of Toledo. ● St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church is hosting its annual Hibernian St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in partnership with the Ancient Order of Hibernians. From noon to 9 p.m. Saturday at the church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., there will be live Irish music and dance, authentic Irish food and drinks, cultural exhibits and storytelling and children’s activities.
