Country music superstar Keith Urban made a pit stop at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center on Thursday before playing at Toledo’s Huntington Center as part of his Graffiti U World Tour.
The Blade learned earlier in the day that the family and nurses of Marissa English, a 25-year-old fan who was born with a number of health conditions, were attempting to reach Urban in advance of his trip to Toledo. Their efforts paid off when he visited Thursday.

Urban mentioned the visit during his concert.
“I made a very special trip today to Mercy Health Children’s Hospital,” he announced onstage with Marissa’s family present. “I think I met my absolute No. 1 fan today — Marissa. I’d like to dedicate this show to her.”
Nurses at the hospital began a social media campaign to engineer a visit from Marissa’s favorite singer when her health began to decline.
