Kalahari to add 5 new waterslides in May

SANDUSKY — Kalahari Resort near Sandusky has begun work on five new waterslide attractions for its outdoor waterpark, scheduled to open in May.

The resort, located in Huron and Perkins townships, says on its website that the additions include slides of Tornado 45, SuperLoop, FlyingSaucer, Tornado 24, and TurboTwister. The slide complex will be Kalahari’s biggest addition since 2011, when the $22 million convention center opened.

The Kalahari complex claims to be the biggest convention center resort complex in the Midwest.
