SANDUSKY — Cedar Point on Monday announced a new gate admission promotion designed to bring more customers into the park during the somewhat slower early season.
The park’s new “Wild Card” pass, priced at $59.99, provides unlimited visits to the amusement park from opening day on May 11 through June 30. Cedar Point says the price for the pass is equal to paying just $1 a day for gate admission.
A basic daily admission ticket to Cedar Point this season is $49.99, according to the park’s website. Add-ons, like parking and a Fast Lane Plus option that lets someone speed past long lines at most thrill rides, cost extra.
The Wild Card pass is not valid for the park’s water park, Cedar Point Shores. But Cedar Point says the Wild Card has no other restrictions and allows users access to all rides, including attractions like the Steel Vengeance roller coaster, which was voted the “Best New Ride of 2018” by industry newsletter Amusement Today.
It also will be good for the park’s newest attraction, Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island, an interactive treasure quest that will open May 25 at the park’s inner island site where the former Dinosaurs Alive! Attraction was located.
Cedar Point said it also will pair the Wild Card with a special hotel rate, called a Wild and Well Rested Package, for as low as $87 per night per person. The package includes the Wild Card plus an overnight stay at a Cedar Point hotel property, unlimited access to Cedar Point’s beach along Lake Erie, and early entry to the park during the hotel stay. Admission to Cedar Point Shores is not included.
Cedar Point said the promotion is only available online at its website.
