Hamburger Mary’s is moving across the Maumee River in downtown Toledo.
The restaurant announced that it is moving to 329 Huron St., in a space where Poco Piatti was previously located before it moved next to Fifth Third Field.
Hamburger Mary’s current site at the Docks at International Park will be turned into a restaurant called Boardwalk B&G, which will offer American fare.
The new space will allow for a more “interactive experience” for customers, the announcement said.
It plans to continue its “Dining with the Divas” drag shows on weekends along with its other usual programming including brunch shows. It noted the new location is close to other downtown entertainment venues including the Valentine Theater and Huntington Center.
Hamburger Mary’s last brunch drag show will be Sunday, and the restaurant said it hopes to be open in the new location by late October.
