Angela Brandt, chief administrative officer at ProMedica, was recognized as one of the 2025 recipients of the Baldrige Foundation's Leadership Excellence Awards.
The Baldrige Foundation is an organization that uses a systems-based approach to create significant and sustained improvements in performance, quality, and cost in businesses and organizations worldwide.
The awards recognize outstanding individuals, leaders, and supporters who embody Baldrige leadership and management values and principles and have provided outstanding service to the Baldrige community and beyond.
Ms. Brandt has been an active member of the foundation since she was named a Baldrige Fellow in 2017. For more than five years, she has served at the national level on the communities of excellence board, acting now as board chairman. In addition, she has served on the Baldrige board of overseers, helping Baldrige achieve a more strategic focus within its own organization and the thousands of organizations it serves.
In 2017, she led the efforts for Toledo to become one of the “Communities of Excellence” using the Baldrige program. The COE idea brings together the Baldrige Framework with sectors and leaders across a community to produce positive and sustainable change. The focus is a cohesive, strategic approach to educational attainment, economic vitality, health, and safety.
Toledo was one of the first nine communities to embrace this structure.
