Homeowners can get help with property value reviews at information sessions

Homeowners who need assistance filing property value reviews or have questions about their new valuations can attend information sessions this week with the Lucas County auditor’s office.

The sessions will be Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Maumee Senior Center, 2430 S. Detroit Ave. No appointment is necessary.

“One of my cardinal values as an elected official is transparency, so I want to be available, open, and honest with homeowners going through a change in their property value and its impact,” Ms. Moline said in a statement. “I encourage homeowners to attend an in-person event, call or email my office, or file an informal property review online.”

The easiest way to file a review is online at co.lucas.oh.us/Reval2024, she said.

Property owners should file a review if they have evidence supporting a value other than the tentative 2024 one received from the office.

County auditors are required by the state to update property values every six years.
