Dave’s Hot Chicken, 5231 Monroe, inspected March 10. Quaternary ammonium sanitizer in a couple of buckets was not at the right concentration. The fountain beverage pop nozzles were dirty with buildup. Dave’s Sauce in the cooler was too warm.

Biggby Coffee, 1515 S Byrne, inspected March 10. A handwashing sink was being used as a dump sink.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 3405 Briarfield, Maumee, inspected March 10. Container lids were stored improperly in the hand-washing sink across from the salad prep-top cooler. The bar sink was set up only to wash and rinse wares, not sanitize. The ice machine’s interior was dirty (repeat violation).

S&G, 1301 W. Sylvania, inspected March 11. Frozen sandwiches were not date marked upon removal from the freezer for placement in the self-service cooler (repeat violation). A dead mouse was under the chip display rack. Overstocking created an environment of pest harborage (repeat violation).

Speedway, 1922 W. Laskey, inspected March 11. The roller grill was dirty with caked-on food.

Comfort Inn, 1426 S. Reynolds, Maumee, inspected March 11. A spray bottle of yellow liquid had no label.

Crissey Rd Food & Beverage Center, 1750 S. Crissey, Monclova, inspected March 11. Ingredients and allergen labels for packaged self-service foods, sandwiches, ham salad, and tri-color coffee beans were either missing or incomplete (repeat violation). Ham and bean soup for sale in the reach-in refrigerator and deli meat items in the grab-and-go case were held past their expiration dates.

S&G, 429 W. Alexis, inspected March 12. Cambro containers are not being properly cleaned and were left with grease residue, so dirty containers were on a clean storage rack (repeat violation). Probe thermometers had caked-on food and there were no alcohol prep pads to clean them. A pan of sausage, eggs, and biscuits sitting on top of a warmer were not hot enough. Cooked and cooled chicken and fries in the reach-in cooler had no date marks. Deli sandwiches in the grab-and-go were beyond the expiration date (repeat violation).

Summit Academy Toledo, 301 Collingwood, inspected March 12. No person-in-charge qualified in food safety was present during inspection. Milks and salads left out at room temperature during lunch service were too warm (repeat violation). A table and stock blocked access to the hand-washing sink and its soap and paper towels, so employees improperly used other sinks to wash their hands and did not do so for long enough. Wipes and spray cleaners not approved as sanitizers were in use. Sanitizer buckets for wiping surfaces were present but empty and unused.

Lagrange One Stop, 1602 Lagrange, inspected March 12. The ice machine’s interior shield was dirty with a pink gel-like material.

Chlorine sanitizer in the spray bottle tested at 0 ppm. Diced grilled chicken breast, spaghetti, and meatballs in the kitchen’s one-door cooler were held past their marked expiration dates.

Crave Cookies, 107 W. Wayne, Maumee, inspected March 13. The person-in-charge could not answer questions about proper use of sanitizer. The soda ice bin’s drain plumbing lacked an air gap to prevent backflow.
