MONTPELIER, Ohio -- A Montpelier man was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 20A at the intersection of State Rt. 15, about 5 miles north of Montpelier in Williams County, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said Jason C. Saneholtz, 39, who was driving north on Route 15, was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle was struck by an eastbound tractor-trailer rig that ran a stop sign while headed east on U.S. 20A. The semi was driven by Travis J. Estep, 35, of Angola, Ind.

Mr. Saneholtz's pickup truck was pushed through the intersection and struck a utility pole before coming to rest.

The accident was reported at 9:35 a.m. Troopers said alcohol was not a factor. Charges were pending, troopers said.
