Dr. R.W. Mills of PediatriCare Associates and chief medical officer for Mercy Children’s Hospital, was the Heart of Gold honoree.

The three inductees in the UT College of Medicine and Life Sciences Global Medical Missions Hall of Fame are Zulfiqar Bhutta, from Karachi, Pakistan; Dr. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei, from Ghana, West Africa, and Dr. Richard Sacra, from Worcester, Mass., an Ebola survivor who has, for almost 20 years, spent time working in Liberia, West Africa.
Dr. Pamela Oatis received the UT College of Medicine and Life Sciences Alumni Community Award and Dan Johnson, president emeritus of the University of Toledo, received the Lawrence V. Conway Lifetime Distinguished Service Award.
