Coach: Mike Donnelly, sixth year
Last season: 3-7, 2-5 TRAC
Returning letter winners: 20
Returning starters: Offense 8, defense 6
Schemes: Spread/3-4
Top players: Seniors Damon Dominique, 5-10, 175, RB; Devin Dominique, 5-10, 180, RB; Jared Gray, 6-4, 220, DE; Morgan Seymour, 6-3, 215, DE; Cody Gore, 5-11, 185, LB; Emilio Duran, 5-10, 210, LB. Juniors Kyle Row, 6-1, 170, WR; Anthony Ramirez, 6-3, 180, WR.
Outlook: The Eagles look to improve on their 2011 finish behind a large group of returning starters, led by the twin running back duo of Damon and Devin Dominique, who combined for 992 rushing yards last year.
Gray and Seymour anchor the defensive line. Gore had 78 tackles and Duran 75 in 2011, and Row caught 23 passes. Clay is solid at the skill positions, but lacks depth on both lines, and at the linebacker spot.
"Our skill players are the strength of the team, however the offensive and defensive lines will determine our success," said Donnelly, who has a 24-26 record at his alma mater. "If things go right, we have the potential to finish above .500."
