Shan Tao is the picture of a dedicated teacher.

She spends many hours beyond the regular school day helping students to understand the subject of mathematics.

She goes above and beyond what is necessary and required.

She took it upon herself to start a very productive after school math tutoring program for Waite High School. Two sessions, an hour each, are held on Mondays and Wednesdays with approximately 30-40 students in attendance each session.

“Shan Tao is an exceptional teacher,” said David M. Yenrick, principal. “I know her dedication and serious regard for her students are assets which distinguish her from the average teacher.”
