After spending a few months in Toledo Correctional Institution, Robert Jobe, who was convicted in the 2007 shooting death of Toledo Police Detective Keith Dressel, was transferred recently to another prison.
Jobe, who is serving a sentence of 18 years to life in prison, is now housed at the Mansfield Correctional Institution in Richland County.
The Toledoan was 15 when he was charged and convicted in the murder of the vice detective. Jobe spent his 18th birthday in February at the Madison Correctional Institution, about 150 miles south of Toledo, before he was transferred to Toledo.
His presence in Toledo was felt and opposed by some in Detective Dressel's family, who said knowing that the teenager was nearby was a constant reminder of their loss.
