The Rev. Stephen Vines gives a eulogy during the funeral for the Occupy Toledo movement at Levis Square in downtown Toledo. According to a statement from the group, it decided in early March to disband. ‘Given the lack of activity and interest in recent times, it was decided that the best way forward was to quit while still ahead. While this will no doubt be a disappointment for … many, we encourage people to think positive and continue to find creative ways to let the spirit of Occupy persist in the actions they take and decisions they make in their everyday lives.’

Movement members march to the funeral. When Occupy Toledo began, about 100 people showed up. A sign a member carried into a Toledo City Council meeting led council to ban placards at its sessions.
