Dana Inc. said it broke ground Tuesday on an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing and assembly facility in south-central China that will make driveline products for the Chinese market.
The factory will build final drive units featuring disconnecting all-wheel-drive systems, which is meant to improve fuel efficiency in passenger vehicles. Dana is investing $23 million in the project. The plant is to open next year.
