Paws and Whiskers Cat Shelter changing hours

Paws and Whiskers Cat Shelter is adjusting its hours to better serve Toledo’s cat lovers.

Starting this week, the shelter will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and noon to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday. It will be closed on Mondays for deep cleaning and other operational processes.

Shelter manager Christine Barton said that since the majority of adoptions take place in the early evening and on weekends, the hours needed to be adjusted to create more opportunities for people to adopt and volunteer at the shelter.
