Robin Whitney appointed to Port Authority board

The Lucas County Commissioners voted Monday to appoint Robin Whitney to a vacant seat on the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority board of directors.

Ms. Whitney has been the chief strategic planning, business development, and real estate officer for ProMedica since 2014, before which she was the city of Toledo’s commissioner of engineering services and then, briefly, its director of public utilities.

She succeeds William Rudolph, who resigned from the port board late last year. The balance of that seat’s term expires July 31, 2020.

The commissioners also voted to reappoint long-time port board member Nadeem Salem. His new term expires July 31, 2022.
