The Lucas County Democratic Party is accepting applications for endorsement to succeed Michele Grim on Toledo City Council.

Application forms are available at the party’s website, and those interested in the council vacancy must also submit a letter of interest and a signed affidavit also available on the party’s website. The affidavit pertains to the status of the applicant’s taxes and utility bills.

Applications may be submitted online or by mail and are due Dec. 30. Applicants will be screened Jan. 7 and voted upon by the party’s Executive Committee on Jan. 9.

Ms. Grim is resigning her at-large seat because she was elected Nov. 8 to the Ohio House of Representatives.
