An elderly Toledo woman reported missing on Saturday was found dead in a snowbank, Toledo police said Monday.
Earline Moore, 79, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 600 block of Parkside Boulevard shortly after 10:38 a.m. Saturday, police said. Ms. Moore, who suffered from dementia, had left the residence sometime overnight Friday, a police report said. The night was frigid with a winter storm moving through the region.
Via a 911 call from family, police were notified at 10:31 a.m. Saturday that Ms. Moore was missing. While en route to her home, Ms. Moore's son called 911 at 10:35 a.m. to report that he had located his mother in the snowbank, police said.
The snowbank was about 0.2 mile from Ms. Moore's home.
