A "Reimagining Swayne Field" public meeting is set from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in St. Martin de Porres community center's Ensman common space at 1119 Bancroft St., the city of Toledo announced.
The meeting is to focus on possible future uses for the area near Detroit Avenue and Monroe Street.
Work is under way to develop a plan for the future of Swayne Field and surrounding parcels, the city noted in a social media update.
Potential uses include workforce training hub, housing and/or mixed-use development, and greenspace.
At the meeting, residents will have the opportunity to explore options for the Swayne study field area, and discuss issues such as street lighting, billboards, the Englewood public safety strategy, and crime statistics, the city said in its announcement.
A similar public meeting was held in November as part of efforts to gain input as part of revitalization planning.
Those attending the meeting are asked by the city to lease RSVP to Neighborhoods@toledo.oh.gov
