Registration has opened for an April 30 program offering free, but limited, legal advice to housing tenants sponsored by five law-related community organizations.
Tenant Tuesday, to be held from noon to 3 p.m. at the Toledo Lucas County Public Library’s Main Library in downtown Toledo, offers support and legal guidance to tenants on such matters as lease review and landlord-related conflicts. Each participant will be allocated about 20 minutes with a lawyer.
Registration is mandatory and will close April 15. Registrants will be contacted to confirm appointment times and to give them additional information.
Legal Aid of Western Ohio, The Fair Housing Center, Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, the Toledo Bar Association, and the University of Toledo College of Law Civil Advocacy Clinic conduct the program, coordinated by the city of Toledo.
More information and a registration portal are posted at toledo.oh.gov/tenant-tuesday, and interested people also may call 419-245-1400.
