'Repair Cafes' return to library

After a popular first event, the Toledo Lucas County Public Library is hosting two more “Repair Cafes,” in September and October.

The first of the two upcoming events takes place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Birmingham branch on Paine Avenue. The Repair Cafe allows community members to bring clothing, small appliances, jewelry, or bicycles that need repair and a team of experts will work to fix them. The event is a community partnership among Birmingham Branch Library, Park Church United Church of Christ Toledo, the Sylvania Baha’i Community, and the Multifaith Council of NW Ohio.

The first event was hosted in July. A third event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 14. No registration is required and light refreshments will be served.
