WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is holding a live telephone event for Ohio veterans at 4 p.m. Thursday to inform them about new benefit programs and answer questions.

New programs include Blue Water Navy benefits that took effect earlier this year, home loan and banking benefits, and efforts to combat veteran suicide and homelessness. To participate, dial 1-833-380-0417.
