Metroparks Toledo is set to launch its popular holiday tours of the manor house at Wildwood Preserve Metropark. The tours of the former Stranahan family home, which is decorated for the holidays by volunteers, will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily from Dec. 4-12.
Volunteers have decorated the 30,000-square-foot mansion for holiday visitors since the 1970s. The surrounding park grounds also are decorated with holiday lights.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, last year’s event involved only virtual tours. This year, visitors can come in person, but must reserve tickets online at MetroparksToledo.com. The tickets are free, but are required because groups of no more than 30 people will be allowed into the house every 15 minutes. Masks also will be required of everyone entering the building.
Videos of the decorations and other virtual content also will be available on the Metroparks Toledo website.
