The city of Toledo will host four tenant housing clinics in 2024 in partnership with Legal Aid of Western Ohio, The Fair Housing Center, Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, the Toledo Bar Association, and the University of Toledo Law School Advocacy Clinic.
At the clinics, each attendee may meet with an attorney for about 20 minutes. These legal experts are ready to provide guidance and support on a wide range of housing issues, including but not limited to lease reviews, rent escrow, housing conditions, and landlord-related concerns.
Attendees are requested to bring a copy of their lease.
The first event will be from noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Main Library, 325 N. Michigan St. The deadline for registration, which is required, is Jan. 9.
The other dates are April 30, July 23 and Oct. 22.
