Sunday is the deadline to order a Christmas tree for delivery next weekend to the Toledo waterfront on the National Museum of the Great Lakes’ annual Christmas Tree Ship.
Trees cost $65 and are between five and seven feet tall. The public may purchase trees for their own homes or to be donated to families in need.
Orders may be placed online at nmgl.org until 5 p.m. Sunday. The museum also will accept cash donations toward the purchase of gift cards for needy families.
The George Gradel Christmas Tree Ship is scheduled to arrive at the museum’s dock off Front Street at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, with viewing of its approach scheduled to begin at 12:45. No walk-up tree sales will be available during the event.
Museum admission will be free from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday.
