In celebration of Black History Month, a gospel concert and pop-up health event will be held Sunday at Friendship Baptist Church.

The second-annual day of festivities is presented by the University of Toledo office of multicultural student success, UT’s gospel choir, and the music ministry of Friendship Baptist Church.

Free health screenings will be 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the church, 5301 Nebraska Ave. The Mercy Health Mobile Mammography Van and the UToledo Health Mobile Health Unit will be on scene. The festivities will also include food trucks, local businesses, and community organizations.

The gospel concert that will follow at 5 p.m. is billed as “an electrifying night of worship and celebration.”

Both events are free and open to the public.
