Presidential library and museum reduces fees for people with economic hardships

FREMONT — The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums will join Museums for All to offer deeply discounted admission rates to people with economic hardships of all backgrounds and ages starting April 1.

Through this program, those receiving food assistance through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program can visit the presidential library and museum for $3 per person for two adults and their dependent children ages 5 and older, when they present their SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer card. Dependent children younger than 5 are admitted free.

The EBT card cannot be used to pay for admission, but showing it will allow the cardholder to receive the discount.

The fee covers admission to tour the Hayes Home and the museum. The museum is self-guided. Hayes Home tours are guided and last an hour. They are offered at specific times, and information on tours can be found at rbhayes.org/visit-us/visitor-information/.
