The Scott Center for Observation Treatment and Transition will host Strides Against Sickle Cell, a community workshop dedicated to fighting sickle cell disease while also championing mental wellness and paving the way to home ownership.
Speakers include Rob Pasker owner of Paskar Real Estate; Linda Rowlett, a therapist and clinical social worker; and La’Shardae Scott, founder of the Scott Center which advocates for individuals with sickle cell disease.
The workshop runs 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Mott Branch Library, 1010 Dorr St., and is free and open to the public.
“Collaboration is more than teamwork — it’s the heartbeat of change. When we unite our voices, stories, and resources, we create solutions that save lives and strengthen communities,” Mrs. Scott said.
