Bond set for woman accused of attempting child abduction at Mud Hens game

A judge set bond at $500,000 Monday for a Liberty Center woman charged with an attempt to abduct a child at Fifth Third Field.

Hannah Carpenter, 34, was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court. Police arrested her Saturday after she allegedly tried to abduct a child during a Mud Hens game, court records show.

Police say the incident happened at about 6:20 p.m. when Ms. Carpenter approached Andrea Martin-Talley, 33, with her child in a stroller. Ms. Carpenter then "grabbed onto and pulled on the stroller in an attempt to take the child that was in it," police say.

An altercation ensued before Ms. Carpenter fled. No injuries were reported.
