BOWLING GREEN — Visit Perrysburg’s former director has pleaded guilty to improperly spending some of the tourism agency’s money.
Christine Best, 54, of Bowling Green, had been scheduled for trial this week on a fifth-degree felony theft charge, but she instead pleaded guilty March 11 in Wood County Common Pleas Court to a misdemeanor theft count under a plea agreement.
Judge Matthew Reger then sentenced her to one year’s probation, during which she must complete 20 hours of community service and repay $2,500 to the Perrysburg Convention and Visitors’ Bureau.
