Michael Urbaniak, a senior from Toledo, hopes to attend Ohio State University, the University of Michigan, University of Notre Dame, or Duke University, majoring in a medical field or architecture. He enjoys chemistry, math and German and carries a 4.7 grade point average.
Michael is an advanced placement scholar, is on the president's list, and is ranked No. 1 in Ohio on the National German Test in 2004. He is a member of the ambassador club, quiz bowl, and CYO basketball, and plays baseball and bowling. He is involved in the Youth-to-Youth Teen Institute and was a counselor for a children's summer camp.
"Mike is a true scholar who balances academics with his spiritual and extracurricular life," said Chris Steingass, academic dean. "Moreover, he is a polite and friendly gentleman who is a role model to not only his classmates, but the entire student body."
Michael is the son of Dennis and Mary Urbaniak.
