Sylvania Schools announced Thursday that it will close all of its buildings for 10 days beginning Friday.
This closure will likely include all winter sports activities in the district, although that aspect of the closure has yet to be announced.
That decision was announced in a statement to all families in the district released by Sylvania Schools communications coordinator Amy Addington: “Due to the Lucas County stay-at-home advisory announced this morning, our buildings will be closed starting at 4 p.m. tomorrow [Nov. 20] through November 29.”

The hockey and girls basketball season in Ohio is scheduled to open on Friday, and the boys basketball season is set to start on Nov. 25.
