The Toledo Lucas County Public Library said Friday that signups are open for its free in-person tutoring program this fall.
In partnership with local nonprofit TutorSmart, the library is offering hourlong after-school tutoring sessions at six of its library locations. First through eighth-grade students can receive individualized instruction in math and reading.
Parents can sign up for tutoring sessions by going to toledolibrary.org under its PREK-12 section on its website.
Tutoring will be held Monday through Thursday at the following library locations:
- 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Holland Branch, 1032 S McCord Rd., Holland.
- 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the King Road Branch, 3900 King Rd., Toledo.
- 6 to 7 p.m. at the Main Library, 325 N Michigan St., Toledo.
- 5 to 6 p.m. at the Mott Branch, 1010 Dorr St., Toledo.
- 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Reynolds Corners Branch, 4833 Dorr St., Toledo.
- 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sanger Branch, 3030 Central Ave., Toledo.
Some tutoring sessions are filled and won’t show up when parents go to signup. Library spokesman Kristi Kopanis said availability on the form will ebb and flow based off demand and space and advises families to keep checking online or contact TutorSmart at 419-210-1830.
