Toledo Public Schools’ elementary schools will be on a two-hour delay Friday.

All elementary schools will begin classes two hours later than the normal start time, officials said. Students who normally receive bus transportation will have their morning transportation delayed by two hours.

No breakfast will be served, and lunch will begin at the normal times. 

Early High School Opportunity classes, gifted classes, and the Early Risers music enrichment programs at the high schools have been canceled for the day. Elementary students enrolled in those programs should report directly to their home school.

Dismissal will be at the regular time. 

The delay is need to allow teachers to complete third quarter reports and grades, officials said. The delay only impacts elementary schools within the Toledo Public Schools system. High school students should follow their regular schedule.
