Heavy rain causes minor flooding along Findlay river

FINDLAY — A flood warning was posted for a Blanchard River tributary Thursday afternoon following heavy rain in the area.

Eagle Creek was 0.2 foot above its 9.0-foot flood stage at 3:28 p.m. and forecast to recede Thursday night, the National Weather Service office in Cleveland said. At that level, parts of Fremont and Graceland avenues on Findlay’s southeast side become flooded.

The weather service reported that 1.85 inches of rain fell at Findlay Airport between midnight and 6 p.m. Thursday.
