Metroparks Toledo’s Glass City Metropark has received national recognition.

Tthe National Recreation and Park Association announced Monday that Glass City Metropark is this year’s recipient of the group’s Innovation in Park Design Award. It was one of four innovation and five spotlight awards nationally.

The awards will be presented during the 2024 NRPA annual conference in October, when the group will announce its top annual honor, its Best in Innovation Award.

In February, Glass City Metropark won first place in park design from the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association and went on to win the best-of-show Governor's Award.
