FAYETTE, Ohio — The North and South Campgrounds at Harrison Lake State Park will be closed several months this year for upgrades, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources said.
Visitors can still enjoy the day-use portion of the park, including the beach, lake, and boat docks, the agency said.
The first to reopen will be the South Campground in June. Seven of the full hookup sites there are being converted into pull-through sites.
The North Campground won’t reopen until October, officials said. Planned improvements there include converting 65 of the 126 electric sites to full hookup sites, reconstructing the dump station, and demolishing and rebuilding the shower house.
The 142-acre park is in Fulton County, about 50 miles west of Toledo near Fayette.
