Perrysburg deputy fire chief retires

Wade Johnson wants happy retirement, not fanfare after 25 years of service

Perrysburg’s deputy fire chief, Wade Johnson, made a very quiet exit from the department recently after 25 years of service.

Fire Chief Jeff Klein said Mr. Johnson didn’t want fanfare when he retired, and he wanted to wish him a long and happy retirement.

The city posted the job opening Sept. 18, and will accept applications through Oct. 14. The deputy chief reports to Chief Klein and directs, manages, plans, supervises, and coordinates activities and operations of the fire division.
