A judge set bond today at $1 million for the Toledo man accused of killing his friend Wednesday at an Old West End apartment.
Terrence Singer, 53, was arraigned before Toledo Municipal Court Judge Timothy Kuhlman on the murder charge.
Officers responded about 3:55 p.m. Wednesday to a residence in the 2000 block of Robinwood Avenue. They found Thomas Cauley, 56, dead, with at least one stab wound.
The resident, Singer, was not there. He later came to the Safety Building and was questioned, Lt. Daniel Gerken said.
Police are investigating what happened and why. Lieutenant Gerken said the men were friends.

Cauley was a kind man who periodically checked on Singer, said Cauley's niece, Alexis Harris.
“He tried to take care of everybody. All his nieces, his sisters, his mom. Everybody. He would make sure everybody had something for Christmas,” said Ms. Harris, 26, of Toledo.
Ms. Harris said she and her relatives attended the hearing to ensure justice was served. They were pleased Singer was quickly arrested.
“That man took a good man from us, from everybody,” she said.
Cauley is the city's 11th homicide victim this year. Through 10 weeks, Toledo has logged a large number of killings for these winter months. Police have attributed the spike in part due to unseasonably warm weather.
