Woman accused of shooting at occupied house in Toledo

A woman is facing felony charges after allegedly firing a gun at the front door of a Toledo home while people were inside.

Eva Mendoza, 50, of Oregon was charged with felonious assault and improperly discharging a firearm at or into an occupied structure, both second-degree felonies, according to Toledo Municipal Court records. 

Toledo police believe that on Monday, Ms. Mendoza fired several rounds through the front door of a home in the 900 block of Bassett Street, according to court records. Six people were in the home at the time, including three who were younger than 16.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 9.
