Police are searching for a man wanted for murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a 3-year-old on Thanksgiving.
Murder charges were filed against Andre James White, 20, of Detroit, and K’veon Carnell Giles, 18, of Toledo, said Lt. Kevan Toney, spokesman for the Toledo Police Department.

Mr. White is in the custody of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office on separate murder charges. Law enforcement authorities are asking for help in locating Mr. Giles. Anyone with information related to his whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
Mr. Giles is described as a 5-foot-9 black man, weighing 119 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, police said. His last known address is 3540 Willys Pkwy., in Toledo.
On Nov. 22, 2018, Anthony Barnes was driving north on I-75 near Collingwood with his three young children. As a vehicle drove beside the family’s car, multiple shots were fired and 3-year-old Malachi Barnes was struck. The boy later died at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center.
On Dec. 6, 2018, Matthew Smith, 17, was taken into custody and charged with complicity to commit murder.
