The U.S. Marshals Office for the Northern District of Ohio will receive an award for its work during a months-long operation last year.
The Distinguished Group Award will be presented Thursday by the the U.S. Marshals Service in Washington during the 38th Director’s Honorary Awards Ceremony.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force was selected for the award based on its work during “Operation We R CLE,” which took place from April 23, 2018, through June 29, 2018, and netted more than 379 felony arrests, led to the recovery of 66 firearms, and the seizure of numerous narcotics and more than $300,000.
